The original records of preliminary hearings of the Slumach case
held
at the District (County) Court 3 November 1890 before Justice of
the
Peace Capt. Pittendrigh were assumed lost in New Westminster's Great
Fire of 1898, but transcripts by Duncan E. McPhaden of Disposition
of
Witnesses and Statement of the Accused of 3 November 1890 suggest
that
the originals, or contemporary copies may still be extant. Click
